  • Scar tissue is the problem. It's rather bad to get re-pierced through scar tissue, although it's not impossible. You can either wait a while until it heals better, as in when you can't feel bad scar tissue, or you can go to your piercer and he/she may be able to re-open the piercing with no problems at all. You might not be able to get the bar or ring through it only because the hole has decreased in size. They can put insertion pins through the hole to open it up again.
