At what point in AB can I deduct 30,000 points from someone in one fell swoop? Or at least tell me what the highest amount of points is that can be taken away by a down vote?

Um, down rating isn't a big deal... you can't make someone like go down in rank. And if you do all the downrating it more effects you than the other person. And that makes you a troll.

You can't. -5 is the most you can take. If you wanted to DR someone 7000 times you would probably get PBed by then. Also, deducting points doesn't affect their rank, just the placement of the Q & A.

So... Is anyone going to answer the question? I'm actually curious, maybe one of the high-rank folks can tell us what their level of downrate is.

If you reach a high enough level, you can take away five points. But shouldn't you reserve a DR for someone who is unhelpful, instead of abusing the button in the way you describe?

If you reach the 900 Billion Level, you may be able to.... but the boys in the lab predict that no one will reach that level until the year 2525.

Never. What could someone possibly do to ever deserve such a thing or their question or answer? 5 points is all you will ever be able to downrate someone, thankfully. If it merits 30,000 then it is worthy of being flagged as offensive. And a downrate will never TAKE points from them, just look bad in your record.
