It certainly doesn't hurt that China has bought up hundreds of billions of US dollars in bonds floated to cover the "War on Terror." It has bolstered their currency and weakened ours. So they are rapidly gaining, economically. Militarily? I don't think they are very practiced, except in the Korean War. But I think all hand-to-hand combat troops are becoming more and more obsolete with the newly developed weapons, so it really doesn't matter a great deal.

They're overpopulated and overpolluted, inefficient & fairly corrupt gov't, I've heard they have a primitive banking system. Everything they do succeeds...? What about the Cultural Revolution, managing political dissent, handling Tibet w/o worldwide protests, enacting or enforcing building codes so that 70K people don't die in collapsed buildings during an earthquake? They don't have much military projection capability; they're trying to switch from a mass-infantry army to a more professional one, but they (along with the rest of the world) is a generation behind the US. They will end up being the largest regional power for their region.

I think China can beat USA

"...everything they do always successes..." You mean "... everything we hear about ...". They have as many failures as others.

I think that China is well on it's way to becoming the major world power. Whether this will materialize or not I just don't know.
