If you're with a partner, talk about it. Take things slowly. Don't pressure yourself and don't be pressured into doing anything you're not comfortable with. Know that you're not alone. Many people have this problem. And if necessary, get some counseling. Nothing wrong with that.

You shouldn't have to handle it. When you witht he right person you will find that it hasn't been that your intimacy was the problem but that the other person didn't allow you to be comfortable enough to express it. Trust me, your eyes will open when your with the right person.

You have a choice here..either you allow yourself to be vulnerable to another person, or you keep yourself closed off to that possibility..either way it hurts. So you decide which hurt is more tolerable...and that's the way you live your life. If you are vulnerable, there is always the potential for finding someone to love deeply who loves you back in the same way. You keep yourself closed off and you'll never get there because you won't let anyone get close enough. :)
