Just best guitar solo of any song, or a certain type of music? I can't really pick my favorite solo, but I can list some. Cult of Personality by Living Colour. (One of the best songs from the 80's, in my opinion.) Raining Blood by Slayer. One by Metallica. The Trooper by Iron Maiden. Thunderstruck by AC/DC (first 50 seconds or so, when Angus is playing with only 1 hand) Holy Diver (Dio Cover) by Killswitch Engage. List can go on, but still. Good songs there. Race for the morning You can hide in the sun 'till you see the light Oh we will pray it's all right

I wouldn't say teens have the best musical taste first off. As for solos I'd say Ashes of the Wake by Lamb of God. That whole song is one bad ass instrumental. The Lonely Dead by God Forbid has a good little bridge/soloish point at 1:19 to 1:46. 2:42 to 3:20 Another solo to the end of the song starts at 3:46 Burning Angel - Arch Enemy Arch Enemy has kickass solos. 5:49 to 6:33 Power of One - Sonata Arctica 4:14 to 4:39 Starfire - Dragonforce 3:20 to 5:12 Valley of the Damned - Dragonforce Yeah, in case you haven't noticed I'm a fan of Dragonforce [ before guitar hero X( ] I'd have to say Zakk Wylde is a sick soloist too. Mark Morton from Lamb of God is one of my favorites. So many great guitar players and great solos!!! I liked answering this hahaha. EDIT: And this is just more recent music. Can't exclude soloists from Slayer, old Metallica, or Hendrix, Clapton, Zeppelin, Brian May, Steve Vai...

I don't think you can generalize but when I was a teenager it was a toss up between Little Wing (jimi Hendrix but the SRV version is brilliant too) or Joe Satriani "into the Light" I can't remember the time but the whole song is an instrumental. I still feel the same, and I'll still love those solos if I live to be a thousand!!
