grief is a tough one for us to work through. i think that the more time that we spend, from now until well after counseling has begun, around supportive, caring other people, usually the better off we will be... visit sites on grief and depression for specific ideas in coping with these kinds of problems and begin working on these, even before counseling. follow through with your counseling appointments - people forget that dr. phil and his staff spend dozens of hours dealing with each problem before the 47 minutes in front of the camera. counseling requires some commitment. always, in an emergency, go to see your crisis hotline counselor, community mental health center, the counselor with whom you have an appointment scheduled, your emergency room, or your physician. lots of folks have dedicated their lives to helping ensure that we can work through these kinds of issues.
