  • Common problem in Chevy Trucks, since you said you have rebuilt the calipers I assume you mean you put the rubber oring and boot on the piston? The mechanism that slides in and out as the pads wear must be taken apart and lubricated with graphic powder for the proper release to take place. Take the caliber carraige apart, wire brush the slide surfaces and then apply liberal amounts of graphite lock lube to each slide surface. This will solve the problem.

  • Rubber hose from caliper after time swells and will not let fluid return
  • Replace the hoses from caliper to brake line, Nephew had same problem, Hoses swell with time will not let fluid return
  • I second the flexible brake lines. when they get old the allow fluid to push thru to the caliper which allows braking, but the inside of the hoses collapse disrupting the return flow and thereby hold the brakes on. antiqbob
