  • You are supposed to keep your new tat dry except for washing it to keep it clean to ward off infection. Sweat shouldn't hurt your tat just wash up after exercise. Might take it longer to heal if you get it wet whether it be water or sweat since the area has to dry to heal, though you keep it moist with A & D ointment or lotion to cut down on scabbing.
  • I agree with delaney55. You should keep it dry until it heals, but if you're going to exercise, shower and wipe dry immediately after.
  • I was told not to exercise for two weeks because sweating draws the color out of your skin. I would stay on the safe side and be dormant for a little while!
