True, BUT it does not always effect your gas as much as you think.

Having your windows up is obviously the best way to go (with no A/C).

But, if you are traveling at high speeds, like the highway, the drag created by having windows open ends up being worse than if you had your A/C on when it comes to gas miliage!

So if you are going around town, I'd use the windows. If you are going to be on the highway, don't be affraid to use the A/C!

It affects your gas MILEAGE (miles per gallon) as explained. It doesn't actually affect the gasoline itself, as implied by the question.

.....well its not going to go and turn your gas into Apple juice. It just effects your miliage.

Yes, using the AC also uses more fuel. BUT!! If you roll down the window to get fresh air the added turbulance will create more drag and you will end up using more fuel than if you had them closed and were using the AC

True, running your AC will decrease your miles per gallon.

True as when the air con is put on ,your RPM increases to compensate that extra burden from the A/C hence extra burnt fuel.
