  • It depends on how much space you have to let the tree fall. There's some science here, as wind, terrain, neighboring trees, and the tree itself may all affect how it falls regardless how you cut. Tree's can kill you when they fall, so you might consider hiring a pro. If the tree is not too dead, the pro might even buy the tree off you.   • Never underestimate the power & weight of a falling tree or tree limb. Safety should be more emphasized in any cutting instructions as the weight of an average tree limb could seriously injure or kill a bystander.
