  • Blair Castle, Scotland. I have seen many and been in several all over Britain and the Continent. They all have their own appeal. It is not just Blair's outside, but, the inside that makes it so impressive. I am also linked to the "Clan Blair" by genealogy. That may affect my preference.
  • I haven't seen many, so I'm not knowledgeable about the subject. But in general, I'm not a castle person. They're too big, seem very cold, austere and offputting to me. I like small, cozy, warm and inviting. The closest I ever came to a castle was the Hearst Castle in California. It was big, cold, offputting and while there were some very beautiful features, I didn't like it very much! :)
  • Larnech Castle, Dunedin, New Zealand! Yip my home country has thee best one! Altho im not sure if larnech is spelt right lol
  • The only one I have seen personally is Boldt Castle, which is on an island in the St. Lawrence River between US and Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boldt_Castle
  • Kellie's Castle is most beautiful one I have ever seen because it is the only one that I have ever seen in my country. Part of the filming of the movie "Anna and the King" starred by Jodie Foster was done in this castle. I have attached some pictures for your viewing. I hope you like them. Thank you.
  • Since I first saw a documentary about this castle I have been in love. I love the history, the past owners tales, and the way the castle crosses the river. It once was used as the bridge for people to cross. It has always been a woman's castle. It's Chateau de Chenonceau in France. And I also love Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland, so romantic, even in ruins. I first saw it in the movie Highlander and have been enthralled ever since:-)
  • This is my favorite: Not really a 'castle' in the true sense, but called "America's Castle" It's Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina and a spectacular place!!
  • Only ever saw them it pictures but they are beautiful!
  • Schloss Neuschwanstein "The New Swan Stone Castle" in Germany is amazing. It is like walking through history. Frescos, tapestries, woodwork you cant even imagine. They say the Magic Kingdom at Disney is modeled after it.
  • White Castle. : 0 i love those little burgersss : )
  • Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World is a wonderful faux castle but it has all the things a real castle has without the big trip to Europe....
  • Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria is quite beautiful. Its at the base of the alps. It was the model for the Disney Castles.
