Whenever I start writing a novel, I always get bored and start a new one. Does this ever happen to you? ANY ADVICE?!?! I'm getting pretty desperate..

yes, it's happened to me several times. I have 13 unfinished novels already. what you need to do is get a little inspiration, such as movies, music, pictures, life situations. Good luck finishing it!

Honestly you need to write something that you are passionate about. What kind of books can you read without putting them down? What part of society disgusts you or enlightens you more than anything else? What about the human psyche fascinates you? Ask yourself questions like these. If you are passionate about what you are writing it can be hard to force yourself to stop just to eat a meal. If it IS a subject you are passionate about try dissecting your idea. What about it is boring you? You could try throwing in a few new twists and taking the story in a completely different direction than you originally planned. If your story is still boring you then get some fresh air and go out with friends. Take up a new hobby maybe. But, if you do decide to put down the pen and get a bit of fresh air make sure you write something every day. Writing every day will help to keep the muse at your side.
