What did you get the image as....an ISO? If so just google ISO burning with Nero...and I'm sure you'll be fine. It's just data, XP doesn't know (or care) that it's another OS.

What are you using it for? Is it X86 version that you are going to VMWare the image? If so VMWare will read the ISO. You can also use Daemons tool http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php Otherwise, you need the complete version of Nero to burn ISO images, if you don't have it go to http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/?page_id=5 free ISO recorder and use that. Sometimes the directory name get screwed up so don't burn it as data, burnas ISO.

I don't really understand the question. An iso is a disk image. Just burn the image to a disk.
