  • Depends on how large you stretch, how slowly and carefully you did it, and your skin's elasticity. It's a good rule to never stretch larger than you'll be happy with forever. Consider it permanent. Many people will say 2g, 0g, or 00g is the point of no return. There is no specific size for everyone, however. Your ears might shrink to almost nothing from a half inch, or never shrink from an 8g stretch. If you won't always want it, don't do it.
  • Okay so this is my stretching story: I started stretching my ears when I was 13. Got them to 4mm very quickly, then took them out after a couple of weeks. Healed up fine. About 4 months later, re-stretched them to 8mm. Around 2 years later, got bored of stretched ears so took them both out, healed up fine. THEN I missed my plugs, so stretched one ear again to 10mm (to balance it out haha) It's still at 10mm today. It obviously depends on who you are, some people heal better than others etc... But as you can tell from my story, it can close up perfectly fine. Do not get impatient when stretching though, I stretched my ears so quick the second time round that I ripped the flesh (LOVERLYYY) which can make healing back to normal size either VERY slow, or impossible. I'm at 10mm now, but I've not tried closing it up. I'm pretty sure that it'll always be bigger than a normal sized piercing, though. I'd say the point of no return is 10mm.
  • I'm at 4G right now and I don't have any problems with them returning to normal size. I've also heard that when you get to about 2G or 0G, they will stay that size.
  • I have always said 6mm is a goood size if you wish to return your ears to their normal size anymore is a risk as everyones ears are different. some ppl ears i have stretched in the past have gone back down to normal from 14mm where as some ppl that go up to just 8mm struggle to get back down. i have 34mm in both ears and have done for quite some time now because i work in this industry. please i urge you not to stretch your ears over 8mm maximum unless you plan on having them forever or undergoing very expensive surgery. i always hear of ppl doing silly things to try to get them to shrink but none of them work except reconstruction surgery so PLEASE DO NOT STRETCH UNLESS YOU PLAN TO KEEP THEM!!!!!
  • I have been gauging my ears 6 years now. i have been all the way to 2" I am now in the proccess of trying to close them up completely, just within a month already the results are crazy. But I have always kept my ears clean and never rushed to gauge them bigger. So I have no scar tissue which in some instances prevents ears from ever retaining normal size without surgery.
  • If you're talking about gauging be careful if you ever want a serious job. My brother had his gauged to a 1, yes a 1!!! They never went back at all. We used to work together and our boss made him take them out and ugh they looked horrible. They shrunk back down to a 6 i think right now, but never all the way. If your gonna do it. I wouldn't go bigger than a 6.
  • i had my ears stretched to 00. my left ear stretched a bit easier and faster then the right. i have had them out for about 2 years now and my left has completely closed and the right is slowly catching. i have noticed that if you stretch your ear a little bit and take the plug out right away i will start getting smaller. that is what i am doing and its working. dont stretch it beyond beleif, but just enough to make you say "OH F*#!"
  • Nope. You have to have them surgically reconstructed.
  • 6mm - 10mmm
