You must be a lawyer to be a judge (except on the Supreme Court). That's right, the United States Supreme Court is the only court in the country that does not have the requirement of being a member of the bar to serve on it. Perhaps if we had laymen as judges, laws would be written to be easier to understand.

Here in Florida it is illegal to keep a pregnant hog inside a pig pen.

In Geogia it is illegal to leave your giraffe tied to a street light. In Rhode Island it is illegal to bite off another person's leg. In South Carolina it IS legal to beat your wife on court house steps on Sundays. I could go on and on.....
