  • That depends on what you mean by better. If you mean will you learn more, you will if you are a disciplined student. No one will be looking over your shoulders in college. This may seem like a great thing if hounding teachers is part of what you dislike about high school, but if those hounding teachers are helping you to get your work done, you are not going to get that kind of support in college. There are a lot more distractions in college, especially if you have to live in a dorm. Many dorms are crowded, and not well monitered, so you may have to deal with noise, parties, and unwanted guests, if you happen to have an inconsiderate roomate. The focus in this atmosphere will have to come from you, and you alone. If you go to community college while staying home, your distractions will be what they are now, but you're still not going to get the same kind of support you get in high school. Don't get me wrong, there is suport, but you will bear most of the responsability for seeking it out. It's not going to come to you. If you are a strong independant student, you will do well. Most people that have a hard time in college, have a hard time because they lack discipline and focus. Most people learn quickly to fix the problem, because now it ain't free!
  • For the most part it is the same, except you have more freedom and more people, and you have to make the choice for yourself to study and do well because there is no one making you do it.
