The 1958 version which I saw at the drive in when I was a freshman in college.

The original film was mighty creepy...I remember the camera zeroing in on the unfortunate fly/man..his head on the body of the fly, caught in a spider web, yelling "Help me..oh help me" or words to that effect. The one with Jeff Goldblum was certainly creeped up, with artful makeup, but the original was the more shocking since it was the first! I usually like originals better than remakes! :) Happy Saturday, Ed! :) ((hugs))

The 1958 version of "The Fly" is my first choice. The theater in our neighborhood was just around the corner and I remember walking there. It was a special memory.
