There's more to Belgium than Brussels, Antwerp, Gent, and Brugge, and yes even chocolate and beer. There's scenery, history, art, and some of the best food in Europe. It pays to explore more than just the top tourist destinations.

Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire is called the Potteries. Royal Doulton and Wedgewood figurines were made here. We house the 1st Spitfire Plane in our Local Museum. Oatcakes were born here.

Many people think California = warm. The truth is: inland, low-altitude California during late spring to early fall = warm. San Fransisco is usually below 70º and the ocean is quite cold unless you go as far south as Mexico. But inland it can get well over 100º, in one heat wave it got that hot as early as May. Also, there's more to see than just San Fransisco and L.A. There's also Yosemite, Death Valley, Mt. Shasta, Sequoia, etc. And remember, if it's not July and you're going to a mountain, bring tire chains just in case (we made that mistake once in Sequoia during the spring and were stuck in the hotel all day).
