He is actor Alan Sader.
For years, I thought he looked and sounded like Pernell Roberts, who played Dr. McIntire in Trapper John, MD, the spinoff from M*A*S*H*.
Roberts also played Adam Cartwright in Bonanza, in the 1960's.
