Depends on the person and whether he or she can do the time. most "rehabiltated" people will serve numerous sentences, creating the POV once a criminal, always.

I believe Some cannot be, not everyone is working with the same "platform" that they can put new information on if that makes sense. If someone was raised in violence and abuse and then lived for years in only bad situations etc... no amount of showing them(and telling them) a different way of thinking, will stick. Of course I'm just talking about some, I don't think they should be given up on though

Yes, that in my opinion is very true. Some, depending on what they have done should never see the light of day again!
