There doesn't have to be any meaning, but as humans, our brains naturally classify and assign meaning to things. Life is no different.

So that artists, musicians, poets, and mathematicians can move society with their brilliance and beauty. So that the snooze button in the morning isn't dreadful. Because part of the human experience is having intimate bonds with other people that somehow bridge the painful and joyous memories of the past with the hopeful and unknown possibilities of the future. As human beings, we have to strive for something. With the presence of a mind and complex feelings, we have to complexly think, feel, experience, love, perceive, and create.

You know, I don't think mine has any meaning. My kids are raised. My grand daughter is to old for time with me now, life happens and there is no meaning in mine now, maybe, if I'm lucky things will change,for now, life is one day after another the same.So, no it doesn't have to have meaning..You just have to keep going.

to keep u from offing yourself...but really, life has no meaning...we exsist by coincidence, and we all just rott in the ground when we die. If we have a soul, do u think u have lived a well enough life to join a higher power? do you think he would want you? life is empty and no matter how u try to fill up the great big hole in ur chest that questions y we are here, u just distract urself...we all will die, and uncertainty makes us question everything. Even the sad pathetic exsistence we as a speiceis lead... haveing said that, let it be known, i am not an athiest...
