  • Wouldnt it work to have him in another room until after the meal?
  • LOL! The joys of having a kitten :) If he jumps up, just keep putting him down. If he gets too close to the food you could either try a spray bottle of water or make a loud noise. Both with startle him enough to make him stop 'investigating'.
  • When growing up, our cats always ate table scrapes. We didn't have money for their food or they didn't make any. But ours ate even some vegetables, like peas.
  • A water bottle and patience will go a long way. My cat finally learned to leave us alone when we are eating. Of course, if it's his favorite foods (grilled chicken and green beans), he still begs, but only by sitting right next to your leg and looking at you. We reward his patience with a couple of bites.
