The only game that I could find that matches most of your criteria occurred on August 31, 1977, when the Cardinals played the San Diego Padres. In that game, Brock pinch-hit for rightfielder Mike Anderson, singled off Rollie Fingers in the eighth inning, and then stole second one batter later. However, there are some discrepencies: first, the game wasn't played in St. Louis, it was played in San Diego and second, there wasn't a double header that day. Here is the box score to that game: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SDN/SDN197708310.shtml And if that's not the game, then I found one more that might be the one you're looking for. This game occurred on May 13, 1977, and the Cardinals were playing the Braves in Atlanta. Brock pinch ran for Hector Cruz, who walked. He then stole second. There wasn't a double header that day, either. Here's a box score: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/ATL/ATL197705130.shtml Do either of those sound familiar? If not, I'll keep looking for you.

Thank you for your help. The game was definitely played in St. Louis and was against Philadelphia. The double header may have been a day or a few days prior to this game if this game wasn't. I know Brock didn't start and he scored and stole a base. thanks
