The basic way is to start up the car. If it starts and runs normally then all is well. If not, you know you have a problem. The proper way to deal with more than one spark plug disconnection is to label the wires. That would've been the smart thing to do. Most cars, however, have numbers on the cylinder head or somewhere visible on top of the cylinders. Look for these and use them to get the firing order right.

If you got 1 wire wrong, you have at least 2 wrong, the engine most likely won't start, or will run rough and shake.
