Yes, and the trick is to work at it every day. Now I'm working on a new novel, after finishing my 400 pager last year.

- Well, you need to have a strong idea. Problems start to turn out when you have general ideas, that can be cool, but you are not working on a structure that allows you to put your ideas into written words.
  I was thinking about the problems I have writing (the book I'm working on is very hard), and found out that the only way to start is by gathering all the ideas in one place, and not the finished book. I mean, no way you are going to write before you know where you will end!

Yes and no. I've managed to pump out one or two short stories (mainly SF). But everytime I try for a longer work, it dies about chapter five or six. So if you were to count the 16 or 17 novels I've started but never finished as one great big epic... then that's one.

Not a novel, but short stories. Mine are fantasy..knights, dragons and damsels in distress (not really, my damsels can more than hold their own). I have one I am working on now, but am hopelessly stuck..I have tried to inject humor in this one and it has worked pretty well so far but I am only 3 chapters into it.

I am trying to write a story. I don't know how long it will be but it is not sci-fi. I did try to write a fantasy story once.
