I reserve the word "appalled" for extraordinary circumstances/people. I'm not a fan of Moore's in-your-face film style, but he far from appalls me.

I like michael moore..at least as far as I have seen of him...his reporting of the medical health care system in Canada was right on...so I have no reason to question any of his views of other systems (if that is what you mean). I think he uses facts to prove his point...and I take that with a grain of salt...but all in all I enjoy his works:)

I am as appalled at Michael Moore as I am with Rush Limbaugh, Don Imus, Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck. All extremists willing to lie or distort the facts in some way shape or form to satisfy their need to divide the nation.

Not I. It is cold in New York City these days. I get to work in the shadow of the World Trade Center, if it were still there, by 7AM workdays. I pass people sitting on the sidewalk waiting for someone to give them coffee money, people sleeping on the street under piles of bedding on cardboard. That appalls me. Not the person of Michael Moore. Mr. Moore has been banging the drum for social responsibility for some time. Now the auto industry is so far behind, people who don't even need the money personally are forsaking private jets just to come to Washington DC for a bailout. If he has actually done some things that he shouldn't have, by all means call him out on those. I'm appalled by greed and ignorance. I don't see that Mr. Moore typifies that.

I think he is a greedy, sleazy, manipulative, lying, scheming, hateful piece of shit. Other than that I have no problem with him.

He is FANTASTIC at getting people to talk about the topic in question and examine it further - whether they agree with him or not. That in itself is quite an achievement.

I'm not necessarily appalled. I like most of his movies and I understand some of his opinions and motives, but I will agree, he is relatively biased. But isn't every documentary biased? Most filmmakers of documentaries are. We just hate him because he's so damn successful in making them.

I have never liked him, not even when I was a bit younger and a great deal more liberal. I equate him with Ann Coulter and others like her. While he is not as extreme as she is, he is still just an attention seeking whiner, in my opinion.
