Pete was gonna sing it on the Smothers Brothers Show, a call from White House to CBS got it censored. "...We were -- knee deep in the Big Muddy, But the big fool said to push on. ...We were -- waist deep in the Big Muddy And the big fool said to push on. ...We were -- neck deep in the Big Muddy And the big fool said to push on. ...Waist deep in the Big Muddy! And the big fool says to push on!" From earlier it's "Which Side Are You On?" even tho he didn't write it, a great labor movement song. Which of course reminds me of Woody's 'Union Maid,'..."ya can't scare me I'm stickin with the Union...' Hmmm... that's three that 1st came to mind, the thirst song that came to mind? No!
