  • As long as you use NTFS it should recognize a few terabytes.
  • Windows XP does not support hard drives with capacities above 2TB.
  • On it's own Windows XP service pack 3 will only regonize a 2 TB drive that's set in the master position as a single drive. To get around this depending on your motherboard you could setup a RAID 0 or RAID 1 array using your SATA connection on the board. If you don't have SATA connections you can take several Hard drives and partition them to under the 2 TB limit. Depending on how many internal devices you have, i.e. Cd rom drives, you have a maxium of 4 IDE connections internally. You could connect 1 DVD/CD drive and up to 3 more hard drives. Or if space is limited inside your computer go external. There are a number of manufactors, (Western Digital, Seagate, etc.) that make external Hard Drives. Plugin to the USB slot on the rear or front of the computer and away you go
