I am a very shy person and i am a lesbian. I am bad at flirting or anything like that because i just freeze up. How could i improve to be more outgoing. I am also not a real social person because i get really nervous around alot of people.

Alcohol, just kidding. I hate to say it, but most lesbians I know pick up people at the area's gay churches. Not that I condone using church for that specific purpose, seems like it works for them.

Join an LGBT social or sports group. You will then get to know some folks with which you have a lot in common. Practice conversation with these folks, where there is nothing at stake. Good luck!

Maybe read a book on the subject. There are tons of dating/pick up line advice books out there. Even if the info isn't that great it might give you a confidence boost anyway. =)

Well, you're just going to have to put yourself out there. You're not going to learn to be a better flirt or be more comfortable around people if you're never around them because you're nervous. There's millions of tips on flirting on the internet, just google them. I'd also try just dressing up and going out to a gay or lesbian bar. I mean, you'll definitely meet other people like yourself, so why not give it a try?
