I could have picked any career but I honestly did not know what I was going to do career wise. Then I got pregnant and lost the baby. I then went into a major depression and attempted suicide. All I wanted was my baby back. One day I decided that I wanted to help others who knew what I felt during that horrible time of my life so I became a social worker. However I was determined to be a therapist so I went all the way to doctorate so I could do that. It has never been a bad decision.
I didn't really pick a career..it picked me. I started out as a secretary and over the years I found that I enjoyed helping out the accounting department if/when I had time. Took some night school classes and had some really good mentors along the way, including some CPA's that would come in and audit the books..so I ended up an Accountant and loved it...but it found me, not the other way around! :)
I'm a qualified automotive engineer but right now I'm studying Civil engineering.
