Oh, is that all? Well, let's see... Patton and MacArthur were about as colorful as generals get, Washington was probably the luckiest of them all, Lee was a military genius, Grant didn't deserve that uniform, and Eisenhower was a quiet craftsman. I think I like Ike.

Well lets see? All of them have been geniuses. Patton destroyed Rommel, was a main architect of the breakout in france, and saved the Allies from a near rout at the Battle ofthe Bulge. Macarthur was the supreme commander of the Pacific theater and he had the backbone to use the A-bomb on Japan and tried again to do so in Korea, so he's just one mean son o a bitch. Washington is the father of our nation and was the main architect of our war for independence. Lee was prodigy, he turned down Lincoln for supreme command of the Union forces because he couldn't fight his home state, and he was able to win battles he had no right to win, and the only reason he lost was because he couldn't beat the industrial giant that was the North. Grant won Gettysburg which pretty much sealed the fate of the south because after that there were no more major battles that took place in the north. Finally Eisenhower, hell he won WW2, he was able to take rivals such as Patton and Motgomery and get them to work cohersevly in a effort to win the war. All in all each of these men have earned the right to be named greatest but in the end I have to go with Patton because he lead the final US calvary charge under battle conditions.
