You're reading God always behaves like the people who created him. -Zora Hurston Anybody find this quote funny and true?

actually i would have to disagree with you on that one, the fact being that there is no one god who created everything. The fact is that it is because of science and evolution that life was created

Okay so can you place so evidence before me? I mean how can you necessarily believe that a being could exist such as God? I mean there is no evidence is there? The universe supplies no evidence. Our existence on this Earth supplies no evidence. So where is the evidence? Look I know I sound rude but my goal in this life is to make everyone I meet to think independently.
Okay if I told you that a pizza man could fly because he drank magic mountain dew would you believe him? This is a serious question and I wish to see an answer please. Thank-you.

Really but these assumptions were made by men that were guessing. What if the universe has always been a constant state? I mean think about it matter is constantly shifting is it not? Water is always evaporating and is always to be condensed into rain droplets once more and then will later turn into rain. Could the universe have been some thing like first it was a puddle but then it evaporated and then converted into rain droplets and then later will turn into rain. You see just the reason why I have come to odds with religion is due to the fact that it supplies no evidence to its cause and yet everything in life requires proof. You cannot try a murderer without proof and this is true with conviction. You cannot try the theory of God because neither you or I possess the truth so technically your idea is a theory not fact but of theory so technically you are wrong until otherwise. Besides Evolution doesn't come to agreement with religion. Religion states..........

God created the world and the science we have is merely the gleanings of studies of men who know the world He created, blacash. There is evidence, for all good in the world reflects God, whereas all sin is traced to man, with Satan in the background. The universe supplies plenty of evidence, yet it is our perception that matters. I do think independently, for it was that thinking that ending up with my sin and all the crap I endured. He broke me and I praise my Jesus, and He was there at creation. I am being serious, and that pizza man idea is silly.

that everything was created in six days and on the seventh day God rested. It even states that man didn't evolve and that God magically placed all the random crap in the world so that we could later kill each other for it. Do tell me did God place oil in the world so that we could both start a war on it, pollute the world, make the world obese due to the fact that everyone is driving cars, give people the ability to run people over thus causing death, etc. so that he can carry out his master plan? Okay God either planned this on purpose, he made some mistakes, or he doesn't exist. Anyways think about it religion has controlled every country of the world. England, the middle east, Asia, Australia, America, the media, art, food, war, belief, etc. Religion is an excellent form of brain washing and control and it is perfectly legal.

The famed scientists such as Newton and Faraday were not guessing, for they were incredibly intelligent, and they understood infinitely more than any of us, especially our modern vain scientists. I respect your opinion, Doubting Thomas, but I pray you would see His wisdom in the world design as the first doubting thomas saw His scars. The Bible gives PLENTY of proof, for the ark is split in twain atop a mountain in Turkey, and the Hittites in the OT were doubted and yet found. In the next post, I will try to explain a little more about logic and God.

But I am confused..... God used himself to create the universe. He had no other material. So technically when a man sin God sins because he created the concept of sin, placed it within the fruit, and then purposely placed Adam and Eve right next to it with full knowledge that they would fail. Do remember that God is omnipresent hence bringing forth that the theory of God is everywhere including the future, present, and past hence showing that God created oil with the knowledge that we would later pollute the world, kill each other for it. Remember he used his thoughts to create the universe so are we technically God since God used himself to create the universe or does God purposely commit himself to miracles so that he can further separate people of science and religion. I am confused..... if God wants us to unite then why is he calling all the atheists liars, condemning gays, etc. How are we supposed to unite?

I think we can both agree that evil exists. Since it does, there is also good. There has to be a standard to determine which is evil and which is good. Standards are akin to rules, and rules with laws. The only way a law can be enforced if someone with authority backs it. There is no one more powerful and more authoritative than God Himself. God did not use magic, for He is all powerful and all creation was not random, but of a intelligent design. Sin came from a perversion of free will, though Satan did prompt thought, though he did not make them sin.

No, Doubting Thomas, God is holy, all powerful, and He is above His creation. God gave us free will so that we may know the joy that is found in voluntary worship of Him, Jehovah. God placed that forbidden fruit not to make man sin, but to test him, in hopes that adam and ever would PASS the exam and not fail. God wanted man to pass the test, for God would have taught man all he needed to know by communing with Him personally, but man jumped the gun, perverted himself and creation, and was banned for rebellion. God gives free will, but WE pervert it.

there is a fine line between being brainwashed and being enlightened. I just see too many holes in religion haveing previously being religious myself. I am not going to critisize you but only wish that you broaden your views on it, thats all. I respect your opinion as i hope u respect mine. +1
