  • I've had similar problems in my life... the first step, however obvious it may seem, is to cut these people out of your life. However close you may think you are, and whatever sentiments they spit at you, "friends" and influences that don't encourage you to succeed, turn a blind eye when you fall off-track, and take no interest in your future or happiness.. these people don't truly care about you. To successfully move on, you need to get rid of them. You deserve better than that! I would think the next step would be to set a goal. Whether it be going abck to school, getting the next degree, getting a new job, or learning a new skill... find something that you can be excited about, something to push you, and something that will reward you in the end. It's great to do well in life and go far, but there's something even sweeter about falling off the track, dusting off your knees, getting back on, and finding out all over again how capable you really are. You'll see how much more rewarding that feeling is!
