  • I joined the Guard at 31. As I understand it, 32 is the maximum but even if it is, it is easily waived if you are in good health. Should you go? Only you can answer that.
  • I served in the Nav 4 10 years active duty and I feel everyone should pay back to the country so hell ya welcome aboard brother bootcamp is no joke get through that and ya will be fine and watch youre ass on the battle field combat is no game ya only get one chance to get it right
  • I think Dave is close to correct (if not right on) with the ages. If you are able, I say do it! I would if I could. There is an Army Reserve 'camp' (?) about a mile from my house. I drive past it every day and kick myself in the ass for not doing it when I was younger. I desperately wanted to join the Air Force about 12 years ago. I let my dad talk me out of it and I regret it all the time. He was in the Air Force and hated it. He has done an excellent job of providing for his family and now that I have one of my own, I wish I had got in and been half done by now, kwim? I say if you are even thinking about it, you owe it to yourself (and country) to at least look into it further. Do not trust your recruiter, talk to someone who is actually enlisted. (not that the recruiters aren't but, you know what I mean)
