Yep...and 60 is the new 40...and a huge pink pig just flew past my window ..lol.We can sugar-coat it all we like...sad fact is..we are all ageing AND...we all gonna roll up our mortal coil sooner or later.Whilst some people are sooo busy hiding or making up "stories" about their age and what it is or is not....guess what?,...they are still getting older the same as everybody else !!!

I think it's figurative speech. It means, being single and 30 isn't as bad as it was 10 years ago. I'm soon to turn 31, and I'm still sure that I'm not ready to settle down.
