Are the Portuguese considered hispanic, white, etc.? Ex. Nelly Furtado. I know the country is located next to Spain and many Brazilians originated from there. Also, they are heavily influenced by the French.

No, Portuguese are not Hispanic or Spanish. Hispanic are a mix of Spanish and something else. Portuguese are caucasion, European, the language part of the 5 Romance Languages. A nationality and language all its own. Nothing to do with Hispanic. Yes, many Portuguese settled in Brazil, I think Brazil was discovered by a Portuguese explorer.
