Because of the high cost of jet fuel a lot of people are staying home this summer instead of traveling. Is there a "staycation" in your immediate future?

I myself have never even been in a plane to begin with, so it's not even really one of those options for me. I may drive somewhere nearby for a Summer "Vacation" of sorts, just as I always have done, though.

Nope. It'll be nearly impossible for me to take even half a day off this summer, so taking a week or more would be out of the question..... But I live at the beach, so it's no that much of a tragedy. I'll just glimpse at the beach on my way to work every morning and pretend I'm not driving to my depressing little office:(

We cancelled our vacation several weeks ago and took some of that vacation money to buy a pool and do some landscaping to our house.

Not in the least. I'll cut back on non-essential traveling while home but trips don't get cancelled--who is to say that prices may not be double next year?
