  • Adopting a baby provides you a better chance of getting the child to imprint on you. Many adopted children who were adopted older than infancy have a biological problem with connecting to their adoptive parents due to the lack of the vital imprinting time. Non-adoptive infants who similarly are not able to get the same imprinting time also show the same signs, including depression, anxiety and higher rates of suicide.
  • A child. I'm horrible with babies!
  • Since I have 2 nephews right now, a 1 year old and a 2 year old, I notice I spend more time with the 2 year old. He can walk on his own, and I go anywhere with him. I take him to the park, the zoo, shopping. etc. So my answer would definitely be an older child. Also, older children does not get adopted as easily as babies do, since the majority prefers adopting babies.
