  • might be constipated try soaking his biscuits in a little warm water to moisten them
  • Get him smaller kibbles that have some of that soft stuff in them... That should help him. Make sure that he also doesn't GORGE himself on food. Measure it and monitor it.
  • i would change the food! Cause every so often the comanys change a ingredient and that might cause the dog to be stopped up! Also i would still take a trip to the vet just to insure it isnt anything serious!
  • he may have eaten something else which is stopping up his system. My nephew has a Australian Sheepdog who had similar symptoms. My nephew took him to the vet and found he had gotten into some garbage and eaten some corn cobs. He couldn't digest the corn cobs and they passed through his system. I don't know what was done to get him straightened out, but he had to be left with the vet for a bit. You may want to consider having him looked at.
  • No ideas because I'm not a vet but I know enough about dogs that you need to get that dog to the vet's office ASAP! Like right now if you can do it. If he stops trying to go because of the pain, that is bad news. The dog must release his bowels, like any other living thing, and if they are having pain while doing so, this is not normal and must be checked out before it turns into something more serious. Perhaps there is an obstruction??? Something might rupture and cause sepsis which ultimately results in death. My point is, if the dog cannot go #2, you need to go that dog to the veterinarian NOW!
  • does he have a habit of eating other things? something could be blocking passage
  • Give him an enema or take him to the vet's-pronto!
  • Seriously, get him to the Vet. He may have blockage or ate something not meant for eating.
