I do eat tomatoes, but I prefer the vine ripened ones.

- Yeah, I know what you mean, SweetT. I've cut back on my tomato consumption as well. But I've heard that if you cook with it, then it's fine (145-165 degrees kills salmonella).

- That is true, I will buy mine from a farmer, just to be safe. LOL. I have had Salmonella poising, from Subway, and it is bad.

Love them...Firm and cold out of the fridge and sliced onto hot toast with a bit of salt and loads of cracked pepper....Yum!!!!

All the time, fresh, canned, mostly from the garden. In the winter time, I will skip the fresh tomatoes or those pink tennis balls:-)

I don't think I go a day without them! Yummy...growing some at home right now, they're all green at the moment, looking forward to eating them. Homegrown are the best!
