  • Definitely NOT!!! Let me spell it out for you. The entire premise of the "Super Smash Bros." series was to beat the crap out of one another as NINTENDO characters! Whose character is Snake? Kojima ring a bell? This is a major problem. At least within the Nintendo universe you had consistency. (Well, mostly. Microsoft bought Rare and took Conker, who was a character in "Diddy Kong Racing") This is the same reason that I think putting Link into "Soul Calibur II" was stupid! These characters DO NOT mix! They're completely separate, and if you start mixing them up, you will eventually get disputes over whose character they actually are! Need an example of that? Banjo. All of his games were produced by Rare, but in the manual for "Diddy Kong Racing", it specifically states (and I quote): "Diddy Kong, Krunch, and Banjo characters licensed by Nintendo." Catch that? BY Nintendo! But there's not going to be a "Banjo-Kazooie 3" for the Wii. Know where it's going? The Xbox 360! That's the kind of confusion that this is going to create! I'll bet so many third parties are going to get in on this that "Super Smash Bros." won't even be a Nintendo-console-only deal. It's gonna have to be on EVERY platform there is!! Can you imagine that? Playing as Mario on an Xbox?! The thought horrifies me. TO NINTENDO: ---------------------------------- Do the right thing, guys. REMOVE SNAKE FROM THE GAME and cut this whole thing off before it spirals so far out of your control that you don't even have the power to MAKE the games anymore!!!
  • well technically snake is part of nintendo does gba ring a bell so when u beat him up its beating up a nintendo character and if u think gba isnt good enough look at pit he hasnt been in a single game since snes so :P
  • u know why banjo and diddy kong racing and perfect dark are on 360 , cause nintendo sold the rights of RARE to microsoft for funding money for the Wii and its games and mario is never gonna be on something else or else consider the people who did it DEAD!
  • Not really. He doesn't really fit in with the traditional crowd of characters for SSB. Brawl should follow the same tradition, even if it is adding several new features and characters...
  • Yes, I think he is a good fit. Kojima (involved with the Metal Gear Series) is becoming very buddy-buddy with Nintendo, and that only means good things! I am excited to see Solid Snake in SSBB>
  • I think the idea of CQC is awesome for SSBB...It brings a whole new stand point on the game...and its bringing a new fan base to the series...
  • ya! having snake in it will make it so much better! after all, snake is awesome! he has CQC, and some crazy and fun explosives! W007
  • I tghink the whole point of video games and especially SSBB is having fun! Snake is an important figure in video games therefore having snake as a character is a good idea. Who cares if he belongs to this or that company? A mario on xbox: why not? As long as it's fun there's no reason why some characters should "belong" somewhere!
  • Snake's a good charecter, but if they make a sequel to ssbb, i don't think he'll make the cut for the playable charecters (this is my opinion)
  • having snake in brawl is awesome! and for those people who said no, there was a metal gear game only for gamecube called the twin snakes. so therefore snake is considered a nintendo character. so its good
  • It brings Metal Gear Solid fans to the game.
