  • Your house wouldn't blow up if you got a little water in your socket, it would short out most likely. Just use a paper towel and dab the water around the socket so it doesn't drip.
  • Cover the sockets with some high-quality masking tape. That should keep the water out pretty securely.
  • Typically put tape over the outlets not only to prevent water getting in there but also to avoid having to clean the paste off of them later
  • That is so funny. I am like that. Oh my god. Electrocution. Just be careful. No biggie. Tape around and sop the water up. I hate removing that crap.
  • You can try turning off the breaker for that room then cover it with masking tape to be on the safe side.
  • well you could turn off the electric for a while if your worried about it and work during the day but yeh like everyone said tape should help and just be careful to dab up the water as your working in thoes areas
