Because what comes around the corner may make it all worth the ride..........

Maybe so you can become stronger and more able to handle those situations so you can learn to enjoy life more. I figure as long as your alive you might as well at least try to make things better for yourself, because no one is 100% sure what happens to us after we die. So try to make the most of life while you're alive.

because i have something to learn from more experiences. its good to have hope that even though it takes all those little clicks to get to the top of the next crescendo the roller coaster is still worth taking another round. its really tough hitting the skids in life, especially if you feel as if they hit you! look it the face and say how you feel, and if it is not your fault or if it is your fault it can be worked out with communication.

Because you still have the rest of your life to live and that emotional pain and suffering can turn into incredible happiness. I went through a pretty horrible time with my ex because my parents never accepted him and since I lived with them at the time, I was pretty much treated like a prisoner and missed out on a lot of things. I had never felt so depressed in my life...but things got better ever since I met my now fiance. I love him to death and I've never been so happy. I'm expecting to have a baby soon, which I'm very excited about. So what I'm saying is stay on the "ride" because you never know what life's turns will take you to.

You appreciate sunshine more after rain. You appreciate friendship more if you have been lonely. You appreciate warmth more if you have been cold. You appreciate food more if you have been hungry. You appreciate light more if you have been in darkness. Be optimistic! Look for the good things all around you.

It took me 37 years before my joy/happiness vs pain/suffering balance tipped to the + side. As a result, I now have a focus and perspective that the normies will never have. The culmination of all my negative experiences enable me to make decisions and accomplish things that otherwise would not be possible in my professional career. It took a long time to find my path, but I did find it...and it's well worth it. Yes, well worth 37 years of overall negatives. I'm just getting started in life now and it's almost scary what the upside is from here on out. I have the misery, depression, anguish, and suicidal thoughts to thank for it. My life still sucks in a lot of ways, and I don't have much in common with anyone...but finding "where I belong" and kicking ass more than makes up for it.

your questions sound like what I think every day, Wiseguy. Sometimes I think it's not fair that some people seem to be happy all the time and I'm in pain for the most part. Then I remind myself that times get better, I talk to my therapist (it REALLY helps!) and treat myself to make it better. I also got a pet, which also helped me make it through. They offer you unconditional love. I also remember a line that someone here on AB said to me that stuck: you're more important than you think. If you wanna talk or complain to someone, I'm at grab_the_eggs@hotmail.com.
