    UNCLE stands for United Network Command for Law and Enforcement

    THRUSH stands for Technical Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesireables and the Subjugation of Humanity

    The THRUSH definition was from the books that came out after the show. It was never revealed in the TV show, I'm not even sure it was defined when the show was produced.
