If you see a bottle that only has a little left in it, or rattle a can and realize it is stil has some in it, would you drink it, even if it is backwash, or would you just toss it?

Unless it belonged to someone I knew, I wouldn't even think about drinking the remains. Way too risky. I would just drain the contents onto the ground, and into the recycling it goes.
