  • If your item is waterproof and you can find out the density of it, you could use the Archimedes trick. Find out how much water your container will hold and fill it to the brim with water and submerge the item inside. Some water will overflow. Take the item out carefully and measure how much water you have left. Using some mathematical formulae, you can get your answer.
  • 1.5 cups of water is 0.807 pounds, or just shy of 13 ounces. Put the water in a Ziploc bag, and compare. Yes, the Archimedes method works, but this keeps your package dry. :o)
