Cute also refers to the inside of a person, yeah, you have to be physically attracted to them to call them 'cute' but it really refers to how nice they are.

It seems to vary between US and UK English. In the UK "cute" is more "sweet, nice" you call kittens cute, teddy bears are cute, small children are cute (actually most of them aren't, but thats not the point!) If you call a guy "cute" its normally a way of saying "You're very sweet but- no thanks". I've never known a UK man refer to a woman/ girl as "cute". Although lately I seem to have found myself using "cute" in a more US way (e.g. finding someone attractive)!

i always use that when i see a guy who i have a crush on...so to me, it means im attracted to him, or simply think what he's doing is sweet.

I think ( as a girl ) that saying he's cute, means he's not as hot as that guy over there, but he's pretty darn close. I refer to cute as the closest thing (downward) from hot. Hope this helps.

For me, "cute" is more superior than saying "hot." Cute means someone is damn hot, yet not exhausting to look at after 10 times sight. I mean, a hot guy is very pleasing to look at, but after a week, he is exhausting or boring to look. On the other hand, someone is cute when after a week of sight, this guy looks cuttet and cutter.

Well, there's two ways, but they way you're talking is physical. It's like, he isn't hot (which is kind of more of a sexual term) but he's cute. Attractive. Trust me, it's a good thing. If you're asking whether she likes you or not, it depends. The "very" is promising, but I know some very cute guys who I don't like.
