    You need to mingle. Join some local clubs (Lyons, Toastmasters, join PTA board at local school, get involved in the parks & rec department or city chamber/board meetings, any local civic group or community service group). You need get involved in things with lots of interaction, so that you will have the opportunity to chat it up with folks and just happen to slip in the fact that you work for xyz lending co. Church groups are places, and school groups, there are always lots of them.
