I just moved here from southern Ontario & used to date a girl from Buffalo, New York, U.S.A. I believe that you would have to apply to become an American citizen otherwise you could probably only vacation there for say 6 months. It would be similar to Canada where you would need a social security # ( like a SIN) to legally work there. you would also need to change your licence & bank afterwards.

It depends on where you are living. Things here are expensive. Are you living in the city or outside the city? Are u working in the city? Living in Manhattan is hectic to say the least during rush hour. But its a great place to live with lots of things to do.
