I'm afraid no one knows. No one on Earth can answer that question although some claim they can. Various religions argue that there is an afterlife with heaven and hell or reincarnation. Science argues there is nothing, just oblivion. You could take a guess at what might happen, choose a faith or just try to live life to the full. No one here can make that decision for you and no one here knows what happens when the inevitable occurs.

I think it largely depends on the way you die. And what you believe happens afterwards.
-
No one can tell you that. It is an interesting thing to think about, but we cannot know for sure. Your religion might be an answer to that question.

I was clinically dead once and the jump started me..wasnt aware I was dead so I cant tell you what it felt like. :)

The cause would have a big impact to how it might feel. In some cases I assume they feel very little at all due to lack of conciousness. Alot of people that have coded (heart stopped)and been brought back have stated a feeling of floating and just drifting away. Others have stated levetating over themselves seeing the room and the poeple trying to save thier life. I've worked in the Emergency Room and most that I've talked to after such a "brought back to Life" situation they where unawair of the situation. They felt whatever might have caused it usually such as a heart attack but had lost contiousness and when they woke up, the soreness of chest compressions, difibulator ( Clear "shock" ) sorness in throat from vetillation tube but no recognition of the event or when they lost contiousness so at the moment they did "die" they felt nothing as far as they can recall.

What does it feel like to die? For me it felt like dying on the inside when the man you thought you loved for years tell you you've stolen his youth from him. That was close.

My body had an experience recently that was like death. I had a cyst removed on my chest and the doctor just gave me local anesthesia so I was awake. Trust me it was very painful she stitched me up with these long strings and I was lying there like a slab of meat. It was very terrifying for me. I was shaking inside but didn't want to move for fear it would hurt more. But Im sure it was not as bad as some people feel who have AIDS in poorer countries where the solution is to bury them alive because there is no one well enough to care for them.

I am allergic to bee stings, I was stung in the neck, I took the shot that I was supposed to, started to walk up the steps my wife was right in front of me looking right at me, she said the only thing she saw was my eyes roll completly to the whites and I fell 9 stairs to the bottom hit my chest on the shelf at the bottom of the step, about 3 seconds later she said that I gasped for air and asked where I was. We lived to far out for any help quick enough we drove the the paramedics, they said I looked fine to continue to the hospital, the Dr aksed if I remember I said no, he took my wife into the hall she explained, his exact words to her were he died for about 1 minute, the shock from hitting his chest restarted his heart, if they say they see a light noway, I saw nothing and I can barely remember what happened.

I suppose it would hurt -- maybe sting a little bit. all I have to say is -- ouch! Try and live as long as you can, buddy. Good luck!

im alive, so i dont know for sure. Ive seen people die, and sometimes it doesnt look like they are passing peacefully! Other times, they just simply fall asleep and dont seem to mind too much! I know after car accidents, many of them ask if they are gonna die. I just say i dont know!

They say the dead know nothing ,feel nothing ,,but does the actual dying hurt? feel good? Relaxing ,, I don't know who could answer that ...maybe Lazereth ,,if you believe the bible,,but he's not available ,,for he died again,,,!

What I felt when I did (didn't stay that way obviously lol), if you've ever went to sleep & woke up the next day without dreaming.....that inbetween of nothingness would be my best explanation. Though, I could of just been stuck in my body. The person that found me after my accident said I was/saw me lifeless w/ my eyes open. But hey, you shouldn't worry about death since it's going to happen no matter what; concentrate on life. :)

Like waking from a long, strange, vivid, vivid dream.

When I was in college, most of us would take over the counter caffine pills to throw allnighters while we studied and then over the counter sleeping pills to go to sleep on our days off to rest for the week and it seems that the more you take the more your body gets used to it and they wont work unless you take more, well one time I think I over did it and took a little too many sleeping pills and your body slowly starts shutting down, your legs and hands slowly become numb and you cant control them, you have trouble peeing, your tounge numbs up and you cant talk, you start to have trouble breathing, however it doesn't hurt, you soon start falling into a deep sleep thats so hard to resist and dream vividly, you know your dying so you fight it, since it was an accidental overdose on my part, it just freaked me out, I made myself puke, over and over until, all the numbness went away and I just slept out the sleep aid and beleive me, as smooth as it sounds, I'm never doing that again until it happens by a natural cause, then I'll take the smooth dying ride.
